ESEA... here we go?

So it’s been an up and down week for ESEA – thread after thread has popped up on GotFrag, both predicting its death and pushing for its survival. The biggest push for ESEA though came from an unlikely (or likely?) candidate, mr. blackfoger of blight fame, who was at the center of this controversy last season. He has supposedly helped over 10 teams sign up and get paid for this season of ESEA-O in an effort to get 50 teams signed up to meet ESEA/lpkane’s ultimatum and prevent Season 7 from being canceled.

GotFrag has useful info...?

I don’t know how I missed this (well of course I know how I missed it -- no one ever goes to GotFrag for actual articles or news) but rk apparently compiled a bunch of nice introductory youtube videos done by various members of the community, including some of Jaeger’s tips and tricks that he put on his website (including some of Loaded/Complexity’s match comms and other little tidbits) before he ragequit on doing them because he was disgusted with the community (hmm sounds like a certain mapper ;) ). I’m putting this up because apparently some of you finding our site have done so by googling for rollouts and such.

In any case, even if you have done competitive TF2 for a while, take a look especially at the rollout videos of badlands and granary by platinum, which I’ve embedded here. Enjoy! And as usual, let us know in the comments if you’ve come across any other good useful videos that you learned from.

orz is back!

Yes like Panda mentioned below we are indeed on our way back. I was originally going to postpone this until early September since I’m on a laptop with horrible hotel internet for a month, but one high FPS config and a late night scrim made me change my mind. I’ll reveal who’s joining the new roster in a few days once I get confirmations from everyone, but most of the old crew will be back (and maybe that will be motivation to update our About Us page…)!

For those of you interested in the Engy update and some GotFrag drama I’ll try and make some posts later. For those of you interested in comp TF2: give it a try you won’t be disappointed :) CEVO Season 6 is around the corner (deadline is Aug 8th so sign up by the end of the week!), and they’ve already posted a tentative map rotation and weapon bans.
