holy tags batman. did you spell gyggygyylglygygllgy's name right?

Grand finals were this morning, and apparently (since it was way too early in the morning for me) eMg gave coL a good beating on granary and coldfront. To be honest I think the map picks for the finals worked out quite nicely for eMg. Big congrats to them! We have quite a few yz50 fans on the team :)

I think I see what you mean, thundeer. I thought Baldy was correct in his last point because ragey comments such as the ones he cited can usually be replaced by less ragey comments that express the same points. But also one shouldn't sacrifice honesty for the sake of people's possibly delicate feelings. So maybe the only comments that should be universally frowned upon are the ones that convey nothing BUT rage, i.e., comments such as "are you serious" that DON'T state what is wrong and DON'T offer suggestions for alternative decisions.

Then again, you're right that even the most ragey and seemingly-useless comments can be helpful for some people. I guess the real answer is to know your team and have a good understanding of what kind of comments your teammates appreciate and which comments they want you to keep to yourself.

mm I disagree with baldy's last point. Better to point things out on the spot (especially if it has been a recurring point that no one has bothered to listen/change). Scrimming ain't all flowers and sunshine :) Usually when someone gets mad at me I try to change whatever it was that pissed them off lol.

Rage and criticism is useful for motivating certain people to improve... but not all people!

BTW, this is coming from the most rage-inducing class of all :D As a medic, there's not much you can do to prevent yourself from dying unnecessarily, leading to a lot of frustration sometimes. You rely on teamwork (and good comms!) to keep yourself alive... but that's a different topic :p

EVERYONE READ BALDY'S COMMENT. He is as correct as correct can be. As is Panda. I wish everyone knew such things (how not to rage) and took them to heart.
